Chapter 0831
"So? Alexia Levett, I've got the place you wanted." Anthony Moriarty said, staring at her intently.
Alexia let out a tired sigh. "Is it time for me to leave?"
"Yes. Everything we agreed on is set. Even your last-minute requests."
"Does my son know?"
"No. That part is yours to handle."
"Alright... Will he be okay?"
"Yes. I've set up a new identity and a secure residence for him. Lucius will inherit everything legally tied to Frank Levett, enough for him to live the rest of his life without worries-without ever having to return to the life he was in."
Alexia nodded slowly. "Thank you... That gives me peace of mind."
"That's your choice to make. Whatever you decide, the people in the Netherlands will assist you with anything you need."
A faint, almost bitter smile crossed her lips. "For once, I'm speaking to someone who understands my situation."
"Alexia, you and I had an agreement. Whether your decision is right or wrong, it's no longer my concern." "Still... thank you. At least life put someone in my path who sees things clearly."
Anthony studied her for a moment before saying, "Goodbye, Alexia. I hope you find the life you're looking for. And don't worry about your son-I'll be keeping an eye on him. I spoke to Lucius, but he refuses to have anything to do with Maximus. He still can't accept that he's his father."
Alexia let out a dry chuckle. "I understand. His entire life, my father and Leonardo drilled it into his head that he was the son of that bastard. And now, to find out the man he's hated all these years is actually his father? That's not something you process overnight."
"What about your grandfather?"
"We made a deal. He'll never fall into Marcus Bartz's hands again-he'll stay under my protection. He willingly handed over what rightfully belongs to Lucius, so at least there's that." Anthony smirked faintly. "Besides, he'll live out the rest of his miserable life in a nursing home. Personally, I think this is the worst punishment he could get-rotting away in a place like that, knowing his own son betrayed him for money." Alexia crossed her arms. "And what about my father? And that bastard Leonardo?"
"Leonardo is an old man. He'll die in prison-just like your father." Anthony then hesitated before adding, "By the way... You're a grandmother now."
Her head snapped up. "What?"
"Your daughter... Laura. She gave birth recently. A beautiful little girl. Her name is Adele."
Alexia let out a shaky breath, almost laughing in disbelief. "Wow... I never thought I'd be a grandmother."
"Life moves on, Alexia. People
change. You changed. Peter
changed. Honestly? I always thought Peter would kill you. But he didn't.
The man had mercy and let you live."
"Do you think this isn't punishment enough?" she asked bitterly. "Maybe. But you had to pay for what you did. Don't you think?"
Alexia scoffed. "What can I say... Everything went to hell the moment I met Gabriel. If that idiot had never entered my life, none of this would have happened."
"Are you sure about that?"
"Completely. I was young. Naïve. Stupid, even. I let myself fall for him, and look where it got me. One bad decision led to another, and another... and here I am."
Anthony let out a low chuckle. "Well, I've got some good news for you. That Gabriel Lambert? He messed with the wrong woman, and things didn't end well for him."
Alexia raised an eyebrow. "Oh?"
"Yeah. He's now rotting away in a care home. His wife and kids want nothing to do with him. The man is completely alone."
A smirk tugged at Anthony's lips.
"You weren't the only girl he fooled, Alexia. There were plenty. But life took care of him in the end." "Was it you?" Alexia asked, her voice weary.
Anthony shook his head. "No. I just
looked into it out of curiosity. I didn't have to lift a finger. People like him... they don't deserve my attention. Karma takes care of them on own. There's no need to dirty my hands."
He leaned forward slightly.
"You, on the other hand, were a

decisions your arrogance, your reckless choices. But him? That bastard preyed on naive little girls, used them, built a damn harem. His punishment was inevitable.
Alexia let out a tired sigh. "Anthony, I'm exhausted. Can you bring my son now?"
"Yes. In fact, we need to leave soon. The plane is waiting."
"Thank you again. I truly hope you live a long life, Mr. Moriarty."
Anthony simply nodded and walked out of the room.
Moments later, Lucius stepped inside. He looked exhausted, unkempt-like someone carrying too much weight on his shoulders.
"Mom... how are you?"
Alexia forced a small smile. "I'm fine, son. Fine. Come here, I want to talk to you."
What do you think?
