Unforgettable love

Chapter 70

Chapter 70:

Dolores’ attitude was extremely stern, and she had already said very clearly that she would still leave if he didn’t come.

She was already angry that Abbott was investigating her. In addition, Matthew had threatened her with her children as well. She was angry, and now Abbott was refusing her request.

It would be rare to have a good attitude in this situation.

When Abbott heard her words, he couldn’t bring himself not to go.

He was so quick that he appeared at the door in less than ten minutes. He must have been staying somewhere near the hotel.

When Dolores heard a knock at the door, she opened it. Abbott was standing in front of the door and smiling slightly, “Miss Flores…”.

Dolores ignored him. She entered the room, pointed to the stack of medications on the table and told him how to use it.

Abbott frowned, “What did she say?” Matthew was hurt?

How was that possible?

Obviously, Abbott didn’t believe her.

Dolores didn’t have time to talk nonsense with him, “If you don’t believe me, go check for yourself. I’m coming back now.”

She opened the door and walked out as she finished her words.

Abbott stood by the bed and paced back and forth twice. He couldn’t help but wonder how Matthew had been hurt.

At last, his curiosity got the better of his reason. He reached out and tugged at the quilt over Matthew, hoping to see what exactly had happened. Before he could lift the quilt, however, the man with his eyes closed suddenly opened his eyes. “What are you doing?”

Abbott, “…”

“I, I heard you were hurt…”

Matthew slapped his hand away and looked around the suite. He was alone here, and began to frown, “Where is that woman?”noveldrama

Abbott could see Matthew’s hesitation and asked, “Are you looking for Miss Flores?”

He remained silent, as if he had consented.

“She called me this morning asking me to come in, and she left immediately.” Abbott was still looking at him curiously when he finished his words.

It was obvious that Dolores had been here last night. Could it be that Matthew forced himself on her, so she resisted and stabbed him?

The more Abbott thought about it, the more likely it was.

Was he stabbed by this woman?

Abbott imagined the scene where Matthew was rejected by Dolores the night before, and couldn’t help but chuckle a little.

“What are you laughing at?” Matthew joined in.

“Nothing.” He quickly held back his smile and said solemnly, “Mr. Nelson, how did you get hurt, was it because Miss Flores fought back last night?”

“…”

Matthew made a face of circumstance, “Get out! Go get some clean clothes for me.”

Was he really rejected?

Abbott wanted to laugh.

He really wanted to see Matthew being rejected.

Was there still a woman who could reject him?

Oh God. This was such a rare moment, too bad he couldn’t see it himself.

What a shame.

Matthew lifted the blanket and climbed off the bed wearing only his boxers. His upper body was wrapped with gauze, and he walked somberly toward Abbott, “Is this funny?”

Abbott opened his mouth and gasped for breath. He shook his head decisively, “It’s not funny, not funny at all. I’ll get you some clothes.” He quickly turned and ran out.

He was afraid Matthew might get back at him if he stayed there.

Matthew poured himself a glass of water and drank it. Then, he saw the chair next to the bed. It seemed to him that he had seen Dolores sleeping here at night.

She still seemed to be talking to him, but he couldn’t hear her clearly.

He was already glad that Dolores stayed and took care of him before she left.

Dolores, who had not slept all night, came home exhausted. The two children were well taken care of by Jessica. She showered, changed clothes and went into the bedroom to check on her children. Simona was still sleeping, pouting her little pink lips. Her cheeks were red and she looked like a doll. Dolores gave her daughter a kiss on the face before leaving the room.

Samuel was already up. He was washing his face and rinsing his mouth in the bathroom.

“You didn’t come back yesterday, was it because of work?”. Jessica came out of the kitchen wearing an apron and looked at her daughter.

Dolores felt guilty for not daring to look at her mother. She turned her head and looked away, “Yes, something happened at the office.”

Jessica stared at her daughter’s guilty face. “I saw you get into another car after you came back yesterday.”

Dolores gaped; she didn’t know how to explain it. How could she forget that Matthew drove his car up to her front door the night before?

Therefore, it was no wonder Jessica had seen him.

“Is that man from the Nelson Family?” Although it was a question, she already knew the answer.

Dolores nodded her head, “Yes.”

“Why are you still involved with him?” Jessica asked angrily. “They’re already divorced, you have no relationship with him now. Look at Sampson. He’s such a nice guy, why aren’t you appreciating him, are you trying to blow things out of proportion and make everything worse?”

“I’m not.” Dolores tried to explain.

She didn’t want to get involved with Matthew.

She clearly knew her position.

She also wasn’t forgetting that determined look on his face when he wanted a divorce.

“Well then. I tell you I’ll never agree if you have anything to do with him.” Jessica rarely spoke to her daughter in such a serious manner.

It was just that, if it came to this matter, she couldn’t ignore it.

After all, Dolores was still young and could easily lose herself in love.

She had two children. If that man could accept her, he would not have divorced her in the first place.

It was not easy for her to give birth to two children when she had a car accident. Jessica was afraid of getting hurt again.

At the bathroom door, Samuel’s eyes widened, ‘What was Grandma talking about?’

Was that man Mom’s ex-husband?

Was he that heartless man who abandoned Mommy, his sister and him?

In Samuel’s consciousness, if Matthew was Mommy’s ex-husband, he would be his and his sister’s father.

He clenched his little fist and wanted to punch Matthew.

No way, he wouldn’t let this heartless man get away with it!

“Samuel, what are you thinking? Come eat.” Jessica served breakfast at the table. She looked at Samuel, who was standing in the bathroom doorway and shouted.

“I’m coming.” Samuel ran over.

Dolores lifted him up to sit in the car and peeled his egg.

Samuel looked at Dolores’ face. He couldn’t understand why that heartless man would abandon Mama when she was so beautiful.

Was he blind?

Dolores put the egg on Samuel’s plate, “What are you thinking about? You should concentrate on eating.”

Samuel pushed his plate towards Dolores, “Mommy eat.”

Dolores pretended to be unhappy and handed him the egg, “You are still growing. If you don’t get enough nutrients, you won’t grow anymore. Do you want to be a dwarf?”

“That’s impossible. My height has already exceeded the average height. I’ll definitely be six feet tall.”

Jessica smiled, “That’s too tall. Six feet would be fine.”

“No, I should be 1.9 meters.” Samuel said seriously.

That soulless guy was already 6’4″. He must be taller than him, And then beat him ferociously!

Jessica thought he was just saying that for fun. She didn’t know he had such a deep thought.

Dolores drank her milk and reached out to touch her son’s head, “It’s good that you want to grow in height, but you’ll only grow if you eat right.”

“I will.” Samuel nodded firmly.

Dolores stood up, “Mom, I’m going to the office.”

“Okay.” Jessica wanted to say something to him, but looking at Samuel, she said no more.

This child was small, but sensitive.

She feared he might sense the truth.

Dolores drove to the LEO Corporation.

She picked up the documents she didn’t read last night and set out to look at them in the office. As soon as she entered, Theresa addressed her solemnly, “Mrs. William is waiting for you in the office.”

“Has something happened?” Dolores knew her assistant well.

No matter what happened, she would not look so solemn.

Theresa didn’t know what to say, “You’ll know when you come in.”

Dolores gave her a look and headed for the main office.

When she reached the door, Dolores raised her hand and knocked on the door. She opened the door only when she heard someone say, “Come in.”
