Unforgettable love

Chapter 78

Chapter 78:

Everyone was expectant and waited to see what Matthew was going to do about it. Would he admit it or not?

If he did admit it, it would be very embarrassing. By wearing that thing everywhere – was he getting ready to have sex anytime, anywhere?noveldrama

Chester felt his mouth hurt now. He wanted to laugh, but he couldn’t. He could only restrain himself.

The assistant next to him pulled out his phone and wanted to film this. Abbott was about to get up and stop him. If the words got out, how would it reflect on Matthew?

But as soon as he moved, he was grabbed by Matthew, “Sit down.”

Matthew reached out to grab the Durex in Samuel’s hand. He held it in his hand and looked at it for two seconds before pocketing it, “Thank you.”

“…”

Samuel felt funny, why wasn’t he angry?

It was obvious his friends were laughing at him.

Matthew seemed to have detected their confusion.

He bent down and said next to Samuel’s ear, “Someone will pay for this.” Samuel glared at him-what did he mean by that?

But Matthew had no intention of telling him what he meant by that. Even though Samuel played a dirty trick on him, he didn’t feel ashamed. On the contrary, he felt great.

He picked up his glass that had been refilled by Chester earlier and filled it to the bottom.

Abbott had no idea what had just happened.

Chester, who was sitting next to Matthew, was also confused. Matthew was facing such an embarrassing scandal – shouldn’t he try to cover it up?

Why did he admit it generously?

Was it because the more he tried to hide, the more he exposed himself? Or was it because the honest man feared neither light nor darkness?

Chester didn’t understand. But he was in no position to ask. So he looked at Samuel and smilingly said, “Little boy, do you want to stay here and get something to eat?”

Samuel shook his head and looked at Matthew with confusion in his eyes. He wondered why he wasn’t mad at him.

He couldn’t figure it out and could only turn around and walk out of the private room.

“Samuel…”

Samuel was gone too long, so Dolores came looking for him.

When Samuel came out of the private room, he saw Dolores crying his name in anguish.

So he rushed to her side, “Mama.”

Hearing his sound, Dolores turned around. Seeing her son running toward her, she let out a sigh of relief. She squatted down to receive her son, who bumped into her arms.

“Where did you go?” asked Dolores earnestly.

What if he had gotten lost?

Samuel lowered his head and said lightly, “This restaurant is so big. I got lost.”

Dolores didn’t believe it at all. Samuel’s memory was pretty good. He couldn’t have gotten lost.

“Tell Mom the truth.” Dolores put her hands around Samuel’s face and lifted it to look at her.

“There’s no child’s potty in the bathroom. I’m not tall enough for the others. So I waited for a gentleman to help me. That’s why I was late.”

“Then why didn’t you tell the truth?”

“It’s not something I’m proud of.” Samuel pursed his lips.

He looked shy and embarrassed.

That was his personality.

Dolores stood up and took him by the hand, “Come, let’s eat.” The plates were already on the table.

Samuel was a little distracted, still hanging on to what Matthew said.

Would someone pay for that?

Who?

After lunch, Jessica planned to take the kids home. They had been on the flight too long, which made them tired. It was better if Jessica took them back and washed them. Then they could rest.

“I’ll take them back first, then I’ll come get you.” Theresa said.

“That’s not necessary. You can go straight to the store. I’ll go to the store on my own later.” LEO was planning to set up a branch, which left a lot of work to do. She was the person in charge, so many things had to be decided by her.

“Okay then.” Theresa got into the car.

Samuel sat in the car and looked out the window. He looked at Dolores, who was standing next to Sampson, and let out a sigh.

If only Sampson was richer and better looking than Matthew.

“Do you have something to tell me?” Dolores looked at the car pulling away.

“We’ll walk and talk.” Sampson reached out and wanted to take her hand. But his hand stopped in mid-air and then he lowered it.

Knowing that Maria was responsible for the car accident, Sampson felt guilty.

He felt guilty for Dolores.

“Do you have something on your mind?” When they were in the car, Sampson wanted to talk but remained silent. When he was eating lunch with them, he also seemed distracted. There was clearly something on his mind.

Sampson smiled. Indeed, his mind was charged. One was his beloved wife, and the other was his blood sister. His complicated emotions were beyond words.

“Lola, do you think I’m good to you?” Sampson looked down the road before him.

“Yes, I do.” Dolores answered truthfully.

Sampson really was good to her, something she had never doubted.

Sampson was silent for a while, “Yes, I mean yes.”

Dolores smiled. In her memory, Sampson rarely behaved like that, “Just say it.”

Sampson thought for a while about how to speak, “Yes, then you find out I’m not so good. Will you hate me then?”

“Of course not.” Dolores didn’t detect the tentative tone in his voice.

“Maybe I worry too much about personal gains and losses.” He smiled bitterly, “What can I do to make you love me?”

Dolores lowered her head and bit her lips. It had been six years. And it was a long time.

Sampson was no longer the young twenty-something he used to be.

He really had waited too long.

Although she didn’t love him, but maybe she shouldn’t turn down this man who was really good to her.

Jessica was very worried about her lifetime happiness too.

“…Let me think about it.” Still, she couldn’t say yes to Sampson now.

Sampson paused, “What did you say?”

He looked at Dolores totally shocked and couldn’t believe it.

She… She said yes?

Dolores looked at the boutonniere by the roadside and said calmly, “I know you’re very good to me. And my mother wishes we could be together. I… I don’t want to fail you.”

It was not out of love or affection. She felt no love for him at all.

It was only because the man had been with her for too long, if she kept rejecting him, she would feel guilty.

If she didn’t deserve to have a romantic relationship with someone in this life, then she shouldn’t fail this dedicated man.

Make him happy. That was one way to return his love and care.

If they were still in Country A, Sampson would feel very happy. But now he felt much heavier.

He could feel that it was not because she loved him, but because of her care over the years, that Dolores was now saying yes.

In other words, she was just paying him back.

The more she acted like this, the heavier Sampson felt in his heart. After all, he had lied to her.

What would she do when she found out the truth?

He didn’t dare think about it.

“Dolores.”

“Em?”

Dolores turned to look at him and, before he could see her face, he took her in his arms and hugged her tightly.

He hugged her tightly, as if he was convinced he would lose her at any moment.

Dolores did not move, nor did she try to free herself. She stood there in silence. She could feel the complicated emotions bursting in Sampson’s heart.

She thought it was all because of her. So she reached out to hug him and caress his back, “From now on, I’ll try to be good to you” As for his mother, she would think about that later.

Sampson’s body froze.

Would she be good to him?

She buried her head in his neck, “I’m afraid you’ll be good to me now.”

Once she knew the truth, she would hate him just as much with the same intensity.

“Shall I take you to the store?”

“No. I just got back and want to walk around for a while. I can go to the store alone.” Dolores said bluntly.

She meant it. Even though she didn’t have a good memory in this place, she had a special bond with it.

“Okay then. When will the branch store open? Remember to send me an invitation card.”

“Okay.” Dolores smiled.

Seeing Sampson get into the car, Dolores took a deep breath. She started walking down the road. It was early August and the weather was still hot.

Sweat began to ooze down her forehead.

“Fancy a ride?” A cab driver pulled up beside her and tried to make a deal.

Dolores turned and saw the cab driver’s face. His face changed.

Wasn’t he .
